Kevin picked up my parents this morning at the airport. Everyone picked me up at work, and after one long trip to Wal-Mart, we were able to enjoy a nice ham and potatoes dinner at home with them. It's nice to have my family here, but it can be stressful playing the hostess. Hopefully the weather forecasts for a blizzard will be wrong and we will be able to travel to North Ogden to see the Cooks for Christmas...

Have a very merry happy safe Christmas!

My Favorite Things

So, we don't post much on this blog because, in reality, our lives are incredibly boring (no, seriously). I mean, we're happy with our lives, but to describe them would be boring to y'all.

So, I blog about shopping. Seriously. If you haven't stopped by my other blog and added it to your list of blogs to check, you should. I really try to post about relevant, incredible stuff. Sometimes I even give stuff away, like right now. Head on over to my blog, My Favorite Things, and follow the instructions on this post to enter my Winter Weekend Giveaway (I know, I'm so clever).

My blog is so awesome that my friend Becky asked me to be a guest blogger on her blog, Project Domestication. Check out that post with some great last-minute holiday gift ideas here.

Merry Christmas!

Through the Grapevine

Sarah and I have discussed grape-flavored things at length. Grape soda is inevitably the last flavor left. As a child, grape-flavored candy sat in the Halloween candy pile long after everything else had been eaten. I resorted to grape only when my body went into sugar withdrawal.

So who eats this stuff? We know you're out there, oh closeted grape-flavored candy eaters! It is time to be heard! It is time to proudly stand up and say, "I enjoy that artificial flavor that passes itself off as grape." That way, we know who to blame.
